As a filmmaker I have a great responsibility to entertain, but also to inform. My ambition is to make movies that matter. I’m interested in creating narrative stories that you’d traditionally find in documentary films. To inspire an audience to ask questions of the story they are presented, and let them discover their own answers. I can’t pretend to know what’s right for everyone, so why should my films? This is a journey of realization that we must go on together.

Currently I’m developing my most ambitious venture to date by bringing my filmmaking and community organizing skills together into one project. The independent film model is changing rapidly, and our goal is to create new opportunities for people to achieve sustainable careers as film artists outside of Los Angeles and New York. We hope to make some big changes soon and if you’re as passionate about film as I am I’d love to hear from you.
